Lea - Receptionist at Bretterbude Heiligenhafen
with the company since 2016
My name is Lea, I am currently 21 years old and a native of Hamburg. I was introduced to the catering industry by my parents. I've lived in various countries, thanks to my father's job, and have got to know many beautiful and unfamiliar places.
After finishing school in Heiligenhafen and internships in hotels in my home town, I thought of nothing else but leaving the quiet little town - that's when the Bretterbude came along. Apart from the fact that my father also had a hand in it, I really liked the concept and could identify with it. The month I spent setting up the interior in the Bums was a lot of fun, and as an apprentice, it tied me to the various teams. To everyone who is still here from back then - thank you! You are the reason why I did my apprenticeship at the Bretterbude! Going through the different departments, which is what has to happen in a HoFa apprenticeship, is definitely much more fun when the crew knows what they have in you.
These changes are also great for you - if you're keen on the catering/hotel industry, it's cool to find out where you see yourself. For me, it's reception. I'm now being taken on there after my training and I'm supporting Hanna!
I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues and friends, with whom we all get on well (it goes without saying that not everything is always in the green, we're humans and not robots - and that's a good thing!!!). I'm excited to see where the journey with Heimathafen® Hotels and Bretterbude will take us - you can definitely grow together and you have lots of opportunities to try things out and develop further.
