Christel - Breakfast Manager Beach Motel St. Peter-Ording

I've been working at the Beach Motel St. Peter-Ording since May 2013. I started as a service employee in the morning service - then soon got the chance to start as a breakfast manager, which I did. To this day, I am very glad that I took this opportunity. I encounter a lot of humour and fun here every day, I have a great team around me and my job is simply fun. Sure, it's still work here at the Beach Motel, but when you do it from the heart, it doesn't feel like work at all. I can only ever talk about myself here and how I feel about it: working here is simply fun because every day is different thanks to my colleagues and our fantastic guests. There really are so many wonderful moments that we experience together here - if I were to list them all, oha, we'd be sitting here for a long time ... And I'd also like to mention how many friendships have already been forged through our regular guests here. I could really travel half of Germany, I've already received so many invitations.

The nice thing about the Beach Motel St. Peter-Ording and the Heimathafen® Hotels is that you give a lot, but you definitely get it back. Of course, there may be a day when you're not feeling so well - but you know that the management and the other staff always have an open ear and say exactly what you need to hear at the time. You are not alone with your problems, no matter what they are. Practically everyone here has an ear for you and listens to you when you need it. You are recognised as a person and as a personality. I personally have never experienced this in any other company.

What else is there to experience here?

You can develop very well here through training and coaching for department heads and employees. Nobody stands still, there's still so much each of us can learn. And that's exactly what you're offered here. I myself learn something new every day and grow with my tasks. I'm glad to be a member of the Beach Motel and Heimathafen® Hotels. Maybe it's also because they accept me for who I am. Sometimes I'm a bit of a mum here, but I guess that's in me.
