Welcome to wooden class!

At the Bretterbude, of course, everything revolves around the board. Wooden façade, rollerboards for hire at reception, surfboards in the in-house plank hire - we're serious about wood class! The Bretterbude is Germany's first themed hotel for surfers and skaters, so it's only logical that you'll find a mini ramp for skating in the lobby. For those who prefer to do their laps on the water: A great kite spot is right on our doorstep, so you only have to sprint across the promenade once and you're already in the water. Our plank hire provides you with everything you need: board, harness, wetsuit, helmet and much more.

81 boards are at your disposal. The smallest one is a real Tetris experiment. But: everything in it, everything on it! Double bed right by the window, some with a fantastic sea view, shower room, plenty of storage space, flat-screen TV, radio ... There's more space in the bunk beds or large bunk beds. Cool extras await you in the special slugs, e.g. furnished by FC St Pauli, Trap, Viva con Agua or Cleptomanicz.
Fresh air fans are also very welcome to arrive with their own van and spend the night in our car park. Special campervan pitches with electricity and external showers, toilets, drying rooms for the Neos and a formidable campervan garden will make your stay a pleasant one.

The Strandschuppen serves a delicious breakfast, snacks and a small menu during the day and burgers, tarte flambée and more in the evening. Really great with a sea view and all. Afterwards you can have a nightcap in the Spelunke, our own pub with harbour charm.
